Signs and Symptoms of Serotonin Syndrome

Serotonin syndrome (also known as serotonin toxicity) is a potentially lethal condition associated with increased serotonin activity in the CNS, most commonly caused by medication use. It classically presents as a triad of mental state changes, autonomic hyperactivity and neuromuscular abnormalities. These are some of the signs and symptoms to look out for on a history/exam.
